Train Park and Grandma and Grandpa B

This week Casen and I went to McCormick Park to ride the trains with Titan and Aunt Brittany. Casen and Titan had so much fun!

They get along so well. We also took Rilyn to Rita's to get a treat after school one day so she didn't feel left out.
And to finish off the week the kids had some rainy day fun with Grandma and Grandpa B making cinnamon rolls.

They even made some tiny ones to cook in the easy bake oven.

DISNEYLAND!

This week we said goodbye to Daddy on Sunday. We miss him a lot already and are hoping the next few weeks go super fast! On Monday Rilyn started playing soccer.

She had her first practice and she had so much fun. It was so fun to watch her. We couldn't leave Casen out of the action so the next morning he had his own soccer practice.

His practice was funny to watch because it was a bunch of 2 and 3 year olds just running around chasing balls. I think I ran as much as he did! The big excitement of this week was DISNEYLAND! Grandma and Grandpa took us to Disneyland because I was supposed to run the Tinkerbell Half Marathon (yeah I signed up for that last summer before I was pregnant with twins!) On Friday morning Grandma, Rilyn, Casen, and I loaded in the car and headed out (Grandpa was already in Cali for work). The kids did pretty good during the drive. Rilyn colored pictures of the princesses she wanted to see and Casen used his "binoculars" to look for Mickey.

Funniest  part of the trip was when we pulled into a rest stop and Rilyn looked around and said "So this is Disneyland?" It was pretty funny. Friday night we went to the race expo at the Disneyland Hotel to pick up our stuff for the races.

The kids were so excited about their goodie bags and loved having their own numbers. The next morning we woke up and got ready for the kids races. They got to run together because we may have been running a little late (oops). Grandpa stayed with them in the corral and helped them get to the finish line.

Rilyn ran super fast and passed most of the kids in her heat. She was so focused she ran right by Mickey and Minnie. Casen and Grandpa were going at their own pace and Casen stopped to meet Mickey. He was so cute and not at all afraid. They both got awesome metals and goodie bags after the race and then we headed into the parks.
We decided to take the monorail in which Casen LOVED.
Then it was time for our first ride, the Finding Nemo submarine. The kids thought it was pretty cool even if it did scare them a little bit. Then the kids got to go on Autotopia with Grandma and Grandma.

We also did the Casey Jr. train and watched the big parade and by then the kids were totally pooped.

They both ended up throwing up the end of the first day because they were too busy to eat real food and were dealing with a little bit of sensory overload. The next morning I had to wake up early (4 AM!) to get to my race. Since I knew that I was only going to make the first few miles I decided to have fun and stop and take pictures with the characters. I saw Mater and Lightening McQueen but the picture turned out pink from my phone (bummer)
and I saw most of the princesses.

I only made it 4 miles before I decided to throw in the towel, I didn't want to over do it since I still had to walk around California Adventures with the kids! I still got my medal which was super cool.
After some breakfast it was off to California Adventures! We started things off my meeting Pluto
and watching a little show where Grandpa got pulled up in front to dance with the singer lady.

He was embarrassed which made us all laugh really hard. Then we headed over to Cars Land where Casen got to meet McQueen!
The kids and the grandparents got to go on Luigis Tires.

They loved it. We stopped by Maters petting zoo to see the tractors.
The kids and I went on the new Ariel ride (it kind of reminded me of its a small world only set to the Little Mermaid soundtrack).

Grandpa and Casen went on the huge ferris wheel while Grandma and Rilyn and I played games on the boardwalk.

We ended up with 4 new stuffed animals. After a quick spin on the carousel
we ended up walking by the Toy Story ride just as they were planning to reopen it and got on it with no wait!
Awesome! Grandpa got the highest score but for a little bit I was beating him. We went and saw Crush the turtle and ran into Jake.

He was the only character that Casen wasn't too sure of. After that I went and saved us seats for the parade while the kids went to Bugs Life with Grandma and Grandpa.
While we were waiting for the parade to start the kids worked on their photography skills.
They love to take pictures. Mater ended the parade so Casen was in heaven.
After the parade we headed out to the car to head home. This was my view for the drive home.
These kids had so much fun. They both slept the whole drive home. We had such an awesome weekend! We wish Cody could have been with us but I guess this just gives us a reason to head back to one of the Disney parks a whole lot sooner!
