Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! Casen decided to pull a repeat of last year and got sick the night before Thanksgiving. Good timing bud! We were supposed to have dinner at a friends house and I had half the meal sitting in my fridge. Rilyn and I worked very hard making the food too!

We ended up just swapping food and everything ended up ok. Oh and Casen is feeling much better now too. We started getting ready for Christmas this week too (since Thanksgiving was so late). We got our first real tree from Costco.

The kids got to decorate.

Rilyn requested rainbow lights and I'm pretty sure the ornaments were in a different place everyday. The boys helped me wrap presents. Casen ended up wrapping his brothers.

Poor Brigg had at least a dozen bows on his head. Cody used some of his time off to help us hang Christmas lights.

I may have underestimated how many lights we needed. I only bought 2 boxes. I had to go back and buy 3 more and then I think after Christmas we may buy a few more for next year when everything goes on sale. Its so fun having our own house to decorate!

Christmas Card Pictures

This week we attempted our Christmas card pictures. Needless to say with 4 kids things got a little crazy! Enjoy the excitement!

 

First Snow

This week Casen and I (ok mostly me) worked hard to get the leaved to the front yard so that the truck could pick them up.

Pretty impressive pile if you ask me. We also had our first snow of the year.

It was just a little dusting and so pretty. We also were lucky enough to get visitors again! This time Grandma and Aunt Kelly came to see us. We went to the mall and rode the carousal.

We went and tried the Bluebird Café for breakfast one day.

It was yummy. We finally got a chance to explore the Children's Museum.

It was awesome and thanks to Grandma we now have a membership so I'm sure we'll be there a lot this winter!

Fun until we get sick

This week at church I found this cute paper that Rilyn had filled out in Primary.

She is so sweet. The monkeys have started pulling themselves up to stand. This is what I found when I was walking up the stairs the other day.

They look like they're in a cage. And yes, they are this happy all the time. We had preschool at our house this week.

Casen has so much fun with his little buddies. The boys got to kill time playing in the playground while we waited for Rilyn to get out of dance.

They love to climb around in there. And then we ended the week with Brigg coming down with Roseola.

Poor guy was miserable.

Happy Halloween

Grandma and Grandpa left on Monday and it was so fun to get to spend time with them. Rilyn and Grandma created a masterpiece in the driveway and we went to the pumpkin patch and conquered the corn maze.

We may have had to cheat a bit and use gps to get to some of the markers. The leaves took over our back yard so Casen helped me rake them up one day this week.

On Halloween Rilyn's school had a Halloween parade (inside because it was chilly).

We continued the tradition of mummy hotdogs for dinner.

This year we got creative and gave them arms and legs. We went trick or treating. It was pretty chilly so Casen lasted 1 house before he asked to go home.

I made him stick it out for at least our house. Then Cody took Rilyn out to do a few more houses because she wasn't quite done. The babies had to stay home and help pass out candy.
