Princess Slugger

This week Rilyn had her first t-ball practice. It was so cute to watch her try to catch the ball and throw the ball and bat.

She's pretty good if I do say so myself. She is on an all girls team because its part of the softball league in Scranton which is pretty cool. Their uniforms are PINK so Rilyn is of course in heaven. She made us get her a pink bat, her glove is pink, she got a helmet and its pink, and of course the bag to hold all of her stuff is also, you guessed it, pink. The princess is definately on the right team. On Saturday her team had pictures and it was a little chilly outside so Rilyn wasn't totally into it but she looks so dang cute all decked out!!

We're so excited for her first game next Tuesday. We know our little Princess Slugger is going to hit a home run! GO RI RI!!

Florida

The kids and I just spent an AMAZING week in Florida! It was so much fun! The kids and I flew down to Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday

and spent the night there with Aunt Kelly before we started the drive down to her house in the Keys. On the drive down we tried to meet the Gator Boys but their park was under construction (probably because they're getting so popular for having a TV show) so we just walked around and took a picture by the sign so we could say we were there.
Then we headed to the Miami Zoo for some real fun. We spent like 5 hours at the zoo. It was so big and awesome! There were so many animals!! The kids were in heaven!

I decided that if we go to Miami for residency that I'm definitely going to get a membership. The drive down went pretty good since everyone was tired from the zoo. Thursday, the kids and I walked to the hotel by Aunt Kelly's house to see the dolphins they have. The kids liked watching the "sheesh" swim by.
We walked by the docks to say "hi" to Dave and see the big fishing boats. Then Aunt Kelly took us to the beach to play.

Rilyn has turned into quite the little fish and spent the whole time in the water. Casen got in a little too but he was more interested in playing in the sand with Mater. Dave brought home some fish for dinner and Rilyn tried fried fish for dinner. She loved it! I even ate some too. Its a miracle.
Friday, we drove down to Key West and stopped by to see Uncle Jay on the way down. It was so good to get to catch up! Down in Key West we went to the aquarium and checked out all the cool fish. They have a fun touch tank and Rilyn had so much fun holding star fish and touching crabs. She is so brave.

Casen only wanted to look not touch.
Then we went on a tour of the aquarium and Rilyn got to touch a shark
and then later she got to feed some of the bigger fish.
Saturday, was supposed to be the 7 Mile Bridge Run so we got up and got ready and went and stood out in the rain until the cancelled the race because of the rain and lightening. Then we went home and played wii games to pass the time until the rain stopped.
Sunday, the kids and I walked to see the dolphins again and splashed in the hotel lagoon for a little bit. (By the way, if you ever wonder where Rilyn's middle name came from there it is right there. Thanks to Uncle Cody for picking it out)

Then we drove over to feed the huge Tarpon. Rilyn thought it was cool and she was so brave.

After the Tarpon we went to the Theater of the Sea to check out all the cool stuff they have. While we were there Rilyn got to shake hands with a Sea Lion, she and Casen both got to hold a parrot, and we got to see an awesome Dolphin show.

It was a really really cool day! On the way home we stopped off at the beach to run off some more energy.
While we were there Casen decided to dive into the water fully clothed and then got to run around the rest of the time at the beach butt naked!
He was in heaven! Luckily the beach was pretty empty so he didn't flash too many people. Monday, we went to a really awesome park to play.

The kids didn't want to leave. They even had a Thomas the Train so Casen was loving every minute that we were there. Then we went to eat lunch at this great place right on the water that has really good food.
We had to take some pictures to make Cody jealous because he loved it the last time we were in Florida. After lunch it was back to the beach.

The kids were both total fish this time. They had so much fun playing in the water. We even had a little incident where Casen almost got pulled out into the ocean a little far because of an undercurrent. I was putting the camera away and turned around to have to run in and save him. Don't worry he wasn't any where near drowning but it sure scared me anyways. After the beach we went on a quick boat trip with Dave. Rilyn even got to drive and help Uncle Dave look for bait fish.

Casen slept through the whole ride.
The next day we had to drive back up to the airport and head home. It was so good to see Cody when we got off the plane but our trip went way too fast. We can't wait to get to head back for another visit! Thanks for EVERYTHING Aunt Kelly and Dave!!
