Needy

I don't mean to sound whiney in this post but I'm exhausted! The boys had their 4 month check ups this week and everything went great. The boys are growing good (they both weigh 13 lbs and some odd ounces) and Brigg is less than an inch taller than Brooks. They are healthy and strong and perfect. They also had to get a bunch of shots which was no fun and lead to a really really long week. They decided to not sleep, like at all this week. I'm pretty sure between Monday and Friday I got maybe 10 hours of sleep. I was fried! I also spend most of the day holding and cuddling my poor babies who just did not feel good thanks to those shots.

They both got little fevers and just wanted Mommy all week. Of course anytime I'm sitting down holding babies Casen has to find him a spot on me as well. Can't leave out my big baby. Rilyn is usually close by as well but luckily she doesn't feel the need to be held anymore. Pioneer Day was this week (the 24th), for those of you who are not Mormon, its the day that the Mormon Pioneers finally made it to the Salt Lake Valley. Since we have the starting place right here in Iowa I decided that we needed to go check it out. It was just a little walk with some signs but still neat to see.
Friday night was the last Friday of the month so that means that the mall has lots of family activities that are free or super discounted. The kids rode the carousal several times and we had a yummy dinner at Chick Fli A.
The highlight of the week was the twins first try with rice cereal. They liked it and did really well eating it. I can't believe how big they are getting! Slow down boys!

New Pictures, New Deck, New Places to See

This week we went on a family walk and I decided to take that time to take pictures of the kids. They are growing up so fast! I'm counting these as the boys 3 month pictures even though they are pretty much 4 months in them,

Brigg

Brooks

Brigg and Brooks
 Casen's 3 year old picture
and Rilyn's 6 year old pictures.
I cant believe how big they are! The kids have been working hard at swimming lessons this week. Rilyn is getting awesome at everything they do in class and passed out of level 1!
Yeah! Casen is getting more and more comfortable and just loves his teacher.
I started resurfacing the deck this week.
Man is this going to be a long process. Painting a deck with 4 kids is no fun! Not to mention the workout I'm getting because this special paint is super-extra thick. Oh well, it will be worth is when its done and the deck looks shiny and new. This week we also made a quick trip down to Nauvoo to see the pageant and the temple.

It is such a pretty town. You can see the Mississippi River from the front of the temple and everything was so green and pretty. There were so many things to see that we definately need to make a second trip soon! Cody was amazed at how wide the Mississippi River was when we crossed over it. Its pretty amazing to see in person. I loved how pretty the temple looked. I snaped a picture of it on my phone as we drove by and I swear it looks like something off a postcard. We ran into our new friends the Asays while we were there and the kids got to play for a little bit. We had great seats for the pageant and it was a great show (Palmyra's is definately bigger with more special fx but it was still cool).

Randoms of the week:
Somehow, pretty sure magically, all 3 boys fell asleep on me at once.
I have one baby in my arms, another baby in my lap, and Casen on my legs. And my very talented 6 year old photographer captured the moment for me.
Cody worked hard to build this giant table/shelf for our garage because our kids have too many flippin' toys!
Awesome job babe.
And just to make you smile, here is a picture of Brooks sucking on Brigg's hand.
They do this a lot to eachother and no Brigg is not that upset by it. He just was ready to not be on the floor anymore.

Iowa

Now that we have been in Iowa for just over a month I figured it was about time I show you where we're at! Rest assured we have been hard at work trying to transform our house into a home. We love our new house. It is PERFECT! I could live here forever. Our neighborhood is awesome and full of little kids. The whole town we live in is so clean and nice. All of the people we have met have been so friendly and wonderful. That being said here are some pictures of the house.

After I made these pictures I found some chairs for my front room.
Here are some pictures of our neighborhood. We have 3 ponds in the neighborhood. Its pretty neat.

And of course the beautiful views driving around town of all the huge farms and corn fields.

This really is a beautiful place and we have really fallen in love with it. We feel very blessed to have moved here. Come visit us soon!

Summer Fun

This week the big kids started swimming lessons. Casen really surprised me by jumping right in and doing everything his teacher said.

This is his first time in a class (other than nursery) without Mom. Rilyn is doing great too. She is getting more and more confident every day.
I'm so proud of them both. Big news from the babies... Brigg has started rolling.
His new favorite position in his swing is facing backwards.

He is a crazy man. Rilyn and Mom had a quick little trip to JJs (MOST AWESOME CUPCAKES EVER!!) because she has been such a great big helper.
Friday was Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A so we all dressed up as cows for a free dinner.
After we ate we walked around the mall and played at the mall playground.
Saturday, Casen's new jeep finally showed up and he was able to drive all over the place.
He is in HEAVEN! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Losers, I mean Lewers!
