Grandma and Grandpa B Came to Visit!

Grandma and Grandpa B came out to visit us this last week. We had so much fun! We were BUSY! On Thursday we picked up the rental car and headed to Philly to pick up Grandma and Grandpa and go sight seeing.

We went to the Liberty Bell

and Liberty Hall.

We also went to get Philly Cheese steaks. After walking around for a while we hopped back in the car and drove to Baltimore and walked around down by the bay.
After our little pit stop we kept on driving to DC. We stopped at the DC Temple on our way into town.

What a beautiful temple! While sitting in the visitors center Casen showed us that he can now say Jesus, which sounds like "GG". So cute! The next morning we woke up and started our nice long walk! We walked around 10 miles but we were able to see pretty much everything! We started the morning with the Declaration of Independence.

After that we hit the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.

Then we headed over to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
Casen LOVED the planes! We stopped by the Capital building
and then walked over to the Washington Monument.

We checked out the White House from afar
and walked to The Wall.
We found my dad's cousin on the wall. Maybe when Rilyn gets older and actually learns about history these pictures will mean more to her. We kept on moving and made it to the Lincoln Memorial.

Cody and I raced to the top of the stairs while everyone else waited. They were too tired to make the climb. I think this picture pretty much sums up how pretty much everyone was feeling towards the end of the day.
Casen's favorite part of the whole day was riding the Metro.
He said "choo choo" and "here we go" and "WWEEEE" the whole ride. The next day we went to Arlington Cemetery to see the tomb of the unknown soldier and JFK's burial place.

We stopped in Gettysburg on the way to see our nephew. We stopped in Bedford to have dinner with Elder Anderson.

We kind of surprised him with Grandma and Grandpa coming in to join us. It was so great to see him! The next day we headed over to Hershey Park to have some fun!

Wow that place is AWESOME! We went on rides all day long! The kids had a blast and the big kids (Cody and I) got to go on some big kid roller coasters. Rilyn's favorite ride was the water ride and Casen loved the train rides (of course). Thank you so much for coming to visit Grandma and Grandpa! We had so much fun with you guys!
