This week we were able to go to Niagara Falls.
It was so much fun. 
We got our passports a few months ago (well Cody's had one but mine was expired and Rilyn never had one) and decided that we needed to use them on this trip so we decided to do Niagara from both sides. It was such a fun trip. It was only a little over a 2 hour car ride from our house and it was a really pretty drive through wine country. 
We have lots of vineyards out here. We'll have to make a trip to see them sometime just because they're pretty. We picked the perfect day to go. The weather was awesome and it wasn't too crowded. 
Rilyn loved seeing the big waterfall but but she wasn't too sure about it once we got close. We went exploring and were able to get really close to the falls. Cody went way high on the stairs to get as close as he could. 
Rilyn and I hung back a little bit. 
We tried to take a family picture right by the falls but the wind changed right as Cody snaped the picture and we all had to take off running so we wouldn't get soaked from the spray. 
We went on the Maid of the Mist boat that takes you right up to the center of the big horseshoe falls. 
Rilyn hid down by our legs while we were next the the falls but she liked the ride out and back in. 
Then we walked to Canada. This is Cody and Rilyn standing in 2 countries at one time. 
In Canada we checked out the view of the falls from over there 
and went to the Hershey store and we're very tempted to buy the HUGE bar of chocolate.
We decided a smaller one would do 
(until Rilyn ate practically the whole thing without sharing!). Cody and Rilyn tried their hand at being Canadian. 
Personally I think she's the cutest little deer I've ever seen. Then we stopped at the Niagara Aquarium. It was neat. Rilyn liked seeing all of the animals. They had seals and sea lions
and penguins
and sharks and some HUGE fish. 
On the way home we went to PF Changs for dinner (our first really nice dinner out in a long time) and I got a piece of cheesecake for the ride home from Cheesecake Factory. When we got our fortune cookies at PF Changs Rilyn broke hers and then held it up to her ear and told us she could hear the ocean!

So Fun! I love niagra falls. I hope that we can take the kids when we come to visit someday :)
