Easter

We had a super fun Easter weekend. Friday night we walked to Connies for ice cream. Rilyn pushed her stroller with Baby Ariel the whole way. On Saturday we spent some quality family time. It started off with a puppet show by Daddy. Then we went to Home Depot Saturday morning. It was the first time Cody has been able to go with us and Rilyn really enjoyed doing the project with her Daddy. The weather has still been awesome so we spent a lot of time outside blowing bubbles (thanks Nana Rusty). And finished off the night dying eggs. Sunday Rilyn woke up bright and early for Easter. She loved her Easter basket and going on an egg hunt. She refused to put the eggs in her bucket. She would pick one up and empty the egg and then put it back. She also insisted that her brother have an Easter basket too. She enjoyed opening it for him. We spent most of the day outside again and Rilyn loved it. Daddy tried to teach her to play catch but she was more interested in playing in the dirt. So Mom and Dad played catch. Cody thought his pregnant wife trying to play was so funny he had to take a picture. Rilyn also showed us how she has learned to pedal her trike and turn (shes been putting her feet down and scooting around turns).



My Easter present from Cody was letting me cut his hair. Doesn't he look handsome! And Rilyn showed me how she has finally learned to spell her name the right way (she used to mix up the I and the Y).



For Easter dinner we had a few friends over and had a really great time. We even were able to eat outside. Rilyn decided that her stuffed animals should sit with us at the table. The only snag we hit was that our kitchen sink backed up Sunday afternoon. It was a little stressful but we made it through. It was really great to be able to spend so much time together as a family and to have so much fun with our Erie Family too.
