Grandma and Grandpa Are Here/ Goodbye Erie Hello Scranton

Grandma and Grandpa made it here this weekend. The kids were so excited to see them!!

They came to help us say goodbye to Erie, pack up the truck, and move to our new house. We had a lot of fun saying goodbye to Erie. We stopped by our favorite beach out at Presque.

It was perfect weather and Rilyn had a blast playing in the water one last time and Casen loved digging in the sand. We went to Waldameer (the amusement park) and had an awesome time.

I really wish we would have gone there before the day before we moved. Cody would have loved it (he was busy studying for his boards so he couldn't come). We went to Connie's and Sara's and Stevo's one last time. Then we loaded up the truck with the help of some awesome friends and drove away from our house in Erie. (Tear) Rilyn got to ride in the truck with Grandma and Grandpa for most of the drive out to Scranton (It took us about 7 hours to make the drive).

She loved being a big girl and sitting in the big truck. Casen and Lola we're my riding companions.

Most of the trip they were zonked out but they woke up long enough to share french fries and chicken nuggets for lunch.

Our new house is great. I don't have any pictures to post of it yet because its still a work in progress. The town is pretty nice too. We're getting to know our way around still and can't wait to go exploring more since Cody has this next month off with us. We've been having fun as we've been unpacking. We decided to celebrate the kids birthdays with Grandma and Grandpa. Casen LOVED his cake.

Rilyn did too but she wasn't quite as messy.

My mom and I did a Warrior Dash race on Saturday.

It was so much fun!! We started the race all nice and clean and 3 1/2 miles we came out a little dirty.

(A lot dirty in my case, I dove into the mud at the end - dang peer pressure).

After a short trip to the medic tent to get some mud and rocks out of my eye (ouch) we were on our way home to try to scrub off the muck. What an awesome race. I hope I get a chance to do it again!
