Rilyn's Preschool Graduation

The time has finally come. My baby is growing up. This week she graduated from preschool!

Her class had an AMAZING ceremony.

They all wore caps and gowns and they sang songs and recited poems for each month of the school year.

Before each song two of the the kids would come up and introduce the month. Rilyn did December and she practiced her lines for weeks before so she had them down pat. She did perfect!

After the songs they played a video of all the pictures from classroom activities through the year. It was so fun to see how much all of the kids changed from their first day of school pictures to now. After the video they recieved their diplomas

and crossed the bridge from preschool to kindergarten.

After there were snacks for us all to enjoy. I'm not sure what part Casen liked more, watching his sister or the donut.

Rilyn had two amazing teachers this year, Ms. Debbie

and Ms. Karen.

They taught her so much and she just LOVES school because of them. We had to frame Rilyn's diploma and right now it has a place of honor front and center on the piano. We're all so proud!!

Rilyn had another big day on Saturday. She ran in her first solo race. We went to the Lackawanna Valley Heritage Festival where the local running club had a booth. The kids ran one lap around this park (which happened to be a park that I ran through when I did the Steamtown Marathon last year). Her buddy Will ran it with her and she loved having a friend out there with her.

She ran her little heart out and boy is she fast! I was having to sprint back and forth across the park to get pictures from the beginning of the race,

 during the race,

and after the race.

After the race she got a medal

and she was so excited to add to her collection. Pretty soon she is going to have more medals than I am!
