This year we were able to fly to AZ and spend the holidays with our families. It was AWESOME! We all had so much fun. Rilyn really loved getting to spend time with Gramma and Grampa. She missed them so much! (Come visit us soon guys shes already asking for you) We didn't make it into AZ until around midnight and my dad had no idea what day we were coming exactly (we were kind of a surprise) and since Rilyn was wide awake when we got there we decided she could wake up Grampa.
She jumped on his bed and said "Grampa waked up I'm your surprise!" How cute is that! She also told Gramma and Grampa that she was going to be a big sister. It was a fun night. The next night my parents had an Ugly Sweater party that was so fun! My mother in law and I ended up in the same sweater.
It was pretty dang funny! While in AZ we enjoyed LOTS of Mexican food since we have nothing but Italian here. We were able to spend lots of time with family and that was definitely the best part. Rilyn loved playing with her cousins and we enjoyed catching up with everyone. For the Breinholt Christmas Party the kids acted out the Nativity scene
and Rilyn was a shepard (and a pink one at that). She held onto my sister in laws Rudolph and Clarice dolls the whole time.
I guess she heards reindeer instead of sheep. We all enjoyed getting to spend time outside without snow (even though I really missed home while we were there too). We had an AMAZING Christmas with our families. They totally spoiled Rilyn rotten!
Going there she had one suitcase coming home she needed 2 for clothes and one just for toys! We also took a quick trip up to northern AZ to ride the Polar Express and have another Christmas.
Rilyn LOVED the train! It was so cool!
She took the cutest pictures with Santa there too. I hope someday we can do it again. We also went to a park in Scottsdale and rode a train to see Christmas lights.
It was so cold and Cody had to stand in line for a long time so we could ride the merry go round and see the characters that were there.
We went to the zoo since ours is closed for the winter Rilyn has really been missing the animals.
My mom and I also made it to see New Moon since she still hadn't seen it.
I even made shirts for the girls in my family that had read the books. Mom and I wore mine to the movies! While we were in AZ we also saw The Princess and The Frog and Alvin and The Chipmunks.
Both of them were so cute! Rilyn really likes Alvin (or as she says it "Albin") and for the rest of the day ran around yelling "ALBIN"!
We also went to Home Depot to do their kids craft.
Rilyn and Grandma worked really hard on their calendar.
Cody had to come home a few days early so he could get ready for school so he and Lola headed home on the 1st. For the rest of my trip he kept me posted with pictures of the snow at our house. I was getting a little worried. On the trip home Rilyn did really good. On our flight to Detroit she took a little nap and watched some movies. Then we had to run (literally) through the airport to catch our flight to Erie. We made it just in time. Then once our plane was in the air we made it almost all the way to Erie (in the air) and had to turn around! Dang it! Then once we made it back to Detroit we sat in the plane for another 45 mins just to turn around and head back to Erie where we finally landed! Dang winter traveling! Rilyn did really good though.
Oh and now that we've made it home our Rilyn opened the rest of her presents and was in heaven some more. The neighbors brought her over a zhuzhu pet that she LOVES! She hasn't stopped playing with it. So fun!

Sorry we didn't get to see you again. Thanks for stopping by the hospital it meant a lot. It was great to see you guys. Glad the trip home went well.
What a fun Christmas! Those ZhuZhu pets look so cute!
Whow! Your mom is scary looking - or very unphotogenic.
We loved having you here and miss you already.
